News: Wayward Weather in North America and Europe

Wayward weather so far this summer has seen North America and Europe undergo great heat or coolth and rains untoward for the time of year. North America was struck by a heatwave in mid June, which sent heats up to and over 40°C in many steads, with storms also knocking out mains sparkflow* to many homes. Europe has seen far milder heats than would be forethought, wedded to greater rains which threaten floods.

News: North Korea rocket goes wrong

The firing of the latest North Korea rocket this Friday morning went wrong only minutes into the flight. The rocket—named Unha–3 (or Milky Way–3 in English)—was fired from Sohae, in the north west of the land, at 7.39 in the morning, but outburst only 90 seconds later and landed in the Yellow Sea. It was a wretched end to what was meant to mark one hundred years since the birth of Kim Il–Sung, the land’s beginner. Continue reading

News: Mali Uprising

In Mali the fourth month of a northern uprising begins with the amazing news that the gainfighters have taken three of the land’s bigger towns. Kidal fell on 30 March, Gao a day later, and Timbuktu yesterday. This is a marked greatening of the war which has been ongoing since January, and a deepening of the worry which has already seen the land’s Leader unseated. Continue reading
